Account Deletion

At Nukoko, we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to permanently delete your Nukoko account and what happens to your data during and after the deletion process.

What's deleted: Account info, posts, comments, activity history

Timeline: Immediate deletion from active systems, 30 days for backups, up to 7 years for legal compliance data only

Detailed Information

Follow these steps to delete your account:

  1. In-App Deletion (Recommended):
    • Open the Nukoko app on your device
    • Go to Settings → Account
    • Tap "Delete Account"
    • Confirm your decision when prompted
    • Your account will be permanently deleted within 24 hours
  2. Email Request:
    • Send an email to admin@nukoko.app
    • Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
    • Provide your registered email address and username
    • We will process your request within 3-5 business days
    • You'll receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you've backed up any content you wish to keep before proceeding.

Your Rights Under Ghana Data Protection Act

In accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana, you have the right to:

  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Receive confirmation of data deletion
  • File a complaint with the Data Protection Commission if unsatisfied
  • Access your data before deletion
